Lemmar Granite S.L. It is a company dedicated to the extraction, processing and conversion of natural granite. The company belongs to the José Antonio Lemos business group. The business group was founded in the 80s, after the opening of the first quarry, Faro, in Salceda de Caselas, Pontevedra, Spain

Our beginnings

As a result of these commitments, we have been awarded with a grant because of “Aids for 4.0 Indsutry Pilot Projects”. These grants are promoted by the European Union through the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund), “Its objective is to help reduce the differences between the levels of development, of the less favored regions”.

Our commitment at the level of security of our personnel and awareness of the care and preservation of the environment, is reflected in the participation of the Investment Projects in Mining Safety Materials, which are aimed at: “Business investment projects whose objective is to introduce improvements in the production process in order to increase the safety and health of workers in the mining activity”.

The fulfillment of our duty towards society is reflected in our company philosophy. We support cultural and sports development at the local level, among the organizations we finance are the Salceda de Caselas Basketball Club and the Penedo Canoeing Club, on the other hand, financial support at the cultural level has as its main actor the School of Music of Salceda de Caselas.

The preservation of the environment is always present in our quarrying activities. We are focused on the minimum generation of waste, by utilisation as much as possible the extracted granite for diferent purposes like blocks, masonry, columns, and others. Of course, in our production process there is a special concern:
• Recycling of waste water.
• Rainwater utilization.
• Regular revision of installations.
• Minimise dust and noise pollution.
Apart from that, according to the current mining regulation, our quarries have the corresponding rehabilitation plan. Thus, we give back the original and natural shape to the mountain as it was before the mining process .
